McLain, "Doc"

a Treece Kansas miner, is serving a 60-day sentence in the Cherokee county Kansas jail at Columbus Kansas, following conviction in Justice Walter Largen's court of charges of possession and sale of liquor. A $200 fine and costs were also imposed upon McLain, who was arrested by T. J. Sisco, constable, following a raid at a local rooming house in which one gallon of whisky was found in McLain's room.
