71 year old resident of the Tri-State since 1916, died at the home of a nephew, Franklin McGuirk, at 1 a.m. today. In the early lead and zinc mining days, McGuirk was a teamster and water hauler. He was a member of the Christ church in Purcell Missouri. The body was received by the Hunter funeral home of Picher. Arrangements for services and burial are incomplete.

Funeral services for Lewis McGuirk, who died at the home of a nephew, Franklin McGuirk, at Douthat Oklahoma, Tuesday, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Douthat Holiness church. The Rev. Harve Woolsey of Webb City Missouri will officiate. Burial will be in the Purcell Missouri cemetery under direction of the Hunter funeral home, Picher Oklahoma.
