Oscar F. Maute, 62, long-time Picher Oklahoma resident, died Tuesday night at the Oklahoma City University hospital where he was admitted July 26 after becoming ill in early June. A native of Canton Illinois, he came to Picher in 1917 and made his home in Zincville Oklahoma. A member of the Mineral Heights Pentecostal mission, he worked in the area as a hoisterman for 35 years and was previously employed by the Beck Mining Company. Survivors include his wife, Mabel Maute, of the home; three sons, Alfred Maute, Paul Maute and Harold Maute, all of Zincville; three daughters, Mrs. Paul Marsh and Mrs. Chester L. Carter, both of Mojave California, and Mrs. Ellis Keltner of Treece Kansas, and 19 grandchildren. Funeral services will be announced by Roberson-Hunter funeral home of Picher.

Funeral services for Oscar Fredrick Maute, 62 year old Picher resident who died in the Oklahoma City University hospital Tuesday, will be conducted at the Pentecostal church in Zincville at 2 pm Saturday. The Rev. Harley Niday will officiate. Pallbearers will be Lester Krokroskia, Sam Davis, George Elmore, Sterling Jackson, Harry Craig and John Garrison. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami, under direction of the Roberson-Hunter funeral home of Picher. The body will lie in state at the chapel until the funeral hour.
