of Cardin Oklahoma died at 10:15am Tuesday, Sep 18, 1999, at his home after an illness. He was 69. He was born Apr 28, 1930, at Picher Oklahoma to Uris Dean and Jessie Luke Mashburn. He lived in Picher and Cardin all of his life. He worked in the lead and zinc mines in Picher and for B. F. Goodrich in Miami for 20 years. He served with the United States Army and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cardin. He married Wanda Laurar on Feb 1, 1946, at Columbus Kansas. She survives, of the home. Additional survivors include a son, Kenneth Leroy Mashburn of Las Vegas Nevada; a sister, Alice Hall of Bartlesville Oklahoma; and five grandchildren. The service is Friday, Oct 1, 1999, at 2 pm at the Paul Thomas funeral home of Miami. The Rev. Kurt Bloomstadt and Rev. Ed McFall will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery in Miami. Pallbearers will be Darin Hall, Larry Olds, Fred Von Moss, Buddy Curley, Bill Crawford, and John Brouse. Arrangements are under the direction of Paul Thomas funeral home of Miami.
