33 years old, died early Sunday morning at his home, 517 North Picher Street, Picher Oklahoma, after a two weeks illness from pneumonia and complications. He was familiarly known as Jop' Martin, head pump man for the Eagle-Picher Company mines, a position which he held for five years. He came from Joplin in the pioneer days of Picher. He was a member of Picher lodge No. 247, K. of P.; Birchmore Camp, W. W. W. of Joplin Missouri and the Picher A.H.T.A. Martin is survived by his wife, Mrs. Doxey Martin, and three sons, Herbert Martin, 11; Marvin Martin, 9, and Rolland Martin, 4 years old. Two brothers, George Martin, of Webb City Missouri, and Fred Martin of Picher. Funeral services will be conducted from the Union Church at 1 Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Wesley Post will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery, in Kansas, northwest of Picher Oklahoma and Treece Oklahoma.
