Lynn, Samuel Dewey
Abstract Data
54 year old lead and zinc miner, was found dead in his apartment on 100 South Connell avenue, Picher Oklahoma, at 6:30 a.m. today. County Attorney Bob Reynolds attributed Lynn's death to a heart attack. His wife died under similar circumstances here about three months ago, Reynolds said. Reynolds quoted a neighbor woman as saying she heard a dull thud in Lynn's nearby apartment at 12:07 a.m., but did not investigate. Reynolds, Sheriff James A. Allemann and Picher Police Chief Gene Crockett agreed that Lynn probably had the heart attack when the woman heard the noise. The miner's body was found in his room early this morning by Paul Hewkins, proprietor of the apartment house. A longtime resident of Picher, Lynn is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Rozella Chaddock of Kansas City Missouri; two sons, Wayne Lynn of McCune Kansas, and Wade Lynn of Kansas City; a brother, David W. Lynn of Hennessey Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. W. H. Shipman of Atlanta Georgia, and a grandchild. Arrangements for services and burial will be announced by the Thomas funeral home.
