Lee, Owen "Cotton"


Abstract Data

At the Bartlesville Oklahoma smelter of the National Zinc company, Chad saw Owen "Cotton" Lee, a smelter foreman, who lived three miles northeast of Ottawa Oklahoma in the early days of Miami's history. Lee stated that he was hauling hay in this district in 1900 when he had to ford Neosho River and Spring River near Miami. He stated that at that time only crops and barn lots and yards were fenced, and those with rail fences.
