age 52, ground foreman at the John Beaver Mine No. 2, died early today at his home at the north edge of Miami. He had been a miner for 22 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minnie Lawrence; four sons, Marvin Lawrence, Jack Lawrence and John Henry Lawrence of Miami, and Eugene Lawrence of the U.S.N.; two daughters, Mrs. John Epps and Miss Betty Sue Lawrence, both of Miami; his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Lawrence of Bengal Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie May Fortner, Miami; and three brothers, J. D. Lawrence of Cardin Oklahoma, Joe Lawrence of Miami, and Bill Lawrence of Bengal. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Cooper funeral home announced.

Services will be 3 pm Friday at the First Baptist church, the Rev. H. E. Kirkpatrick officiating. Pallbearers are to be John Hint, Arthur Thomas, Bob Williams, Ed Kelley, Fred Brown and Bill Campbell. Burial in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, the Cooper funeral home conducting.
