Abstract Data

Reuben Francis Larkin, 83, of California, formerly of Miami, died today in the Veteran's Administration hospital, Muskogee Oklahoma. He was born Oct 8, 1890, in Indian Territory Oklahoma in a covered wagon. He was a member of the First Baptist church, Miami, and was a World War I Army veteran and member of the American Legion in Miami. He moved to California from Miami in 1938. He is survived by one son, Lloyd Larkin, Tulsa; one daughter, Mrs. Edna Jasimski, Tulsa; two brothers, George Larkin, Joplin Missouri, and Willard Larkin, Springdale Arkansas; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Shackelford and Mrs. Esther Grubb, both of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and four grandchildren. Private graveside services for the family only will be held in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, with Dr. Weldon E. Marcum officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Cooper funeral home of Miami.
