Funeral services for Carter A. Lackey, 54 years old, was conducted by Rev. Wesley Post, pastor of the Union church. Burial was in Fairview cemetery, Joplin.

a miner, 54 years old, died from heart trouble at his home near the Golden Rod Mine, No. 7 at 11 Monday morning. He was an employee of the Dorothy Bill Mining Company. He is survived by his wife, three sons, two daughters and one brother, all of Cardin Oklahoma. The Todd undertaking company at Picher will direct the funeral from the family home at 1 Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Joplin Missouri.
