Abstract Data
Picher Oklahoma. Mrs. Emma Lacey, 46 years old, died from a heart attack about 3 o'clock Saturday morning while being rushed in an automobile from the Pete Dines Mine on the state line road, north of Picher Oklahoma, to the residence of Dr. V. V. Butler, 311 South Francis Street, Picher. Mrs. Lacey had driven to the Dines shaft for her husband, Clifford Lacey, a worker in the mine, whose shift ended at midnight. He was late in getting off from work and did not come out of the ground until 2:30 o'clock. She had fallen asleep in the car and when he awoke her she apparently was startled and suffered a heart attack. Lacey rushed her to Dr. Butler's home and Dr. Butler pronounced her dead about 3 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Lacey lived north of Treece Kansas. Besides her husband, Mrs. Lacey is survived by two sons, Everett Huckins of Joplin Missouri and Clarence Hukins of Tulsa Oklahoma; one daughter, Mrs. Juanita Greenlee of LaSalle Colorado; three sisters, Miss Ethel Greenlee of Picher, Mrs. Bertha Harper of Grove Oklahoma and Mrs. Carrie Neel of Oklahoma City, and one brother, Grover Splitby of Miami. The body is at the Durnil funeral home of Picher.
