Abstract Data

Claude King, 48 years old, whose residence was at the Cactus Mine, west of Commerce, died at his home at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday night. He had been in the employ of the Commerce Mining and Royalty Company for more than 10 years. Funeral services for the veteran mine employee will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist church in Commerce and burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami. Mr. King is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace King, six children, Lauretta King, Homer King, Maudie King, Betty King, Josephine King and Verna Mae King; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. King of North Miami; four brothers, Frank King of North Miami, Huston King of Tulsa, John King of Coleman Texas, and Pryor King of Hillsboro Illinois, and six sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Branson of Miami, Mrs. Mattie Davis of Seattle Washington, Mrs. Joseph Clark of Melrose Kansas, Mrs. Emma Moore of North Miami, Mrs. Osie Archer of Coleman, and Mrs. Fay Burgey of Miami. The Mitchelson undertaking company is in charge of the funeral.
