Kenney, George L.

Funeral rites for George L. Kenney, 85-year old Tri-State mining man, will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist church in Granby Missouri. The Rev. Guy C. Tetirick, pastor of the First Methodist church of Miami will officiate. The father of S. L. Kenney, a Miami mine operator, he died Saturday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. F. A. Daugherty, in Joplin Missouri. Kenney had been a resident of Baxter Springs Kansas, for 18 years before moving to Joplin Missouri, two years ago. Burial will be in the Granby cemetery, under direction of the Thornhill-Dillon mortuary of Joplin.
