Abstract Data

age 48 years old, and a resident of Cardin Oklahoma over a quarter of a century, died at 1:30 am Sunday at his home in that town following an illness of six weeks. Mr. Kelly during his life was a miner and had been employed by the Eagle-Picher Company for many years. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Marie Kelly, of the home; a son Jack Lloyd, also of the home; a daughter, Mrs. June Post of Commerce Oklahoma; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kelly of Drumright Oklahoma; a brother Charley Kelly of Phoenix Arizona; four sisters, Mrs. Imogene Wright, Wichita Kansas, Mrs. Letha Williams, Dayton Washington, Mrs. Guin Hendrix, Granby Washington, and Mrs. Louella Fowler, Drumright and one grandson. Funeral services were held at 2 pm Wednesday afternoon at the Cardin Baptist church. Rev. Russell Moudy, Rev. Blandford Duckett, and Rev. Lee Stokes officiated. Burial was in the G.A.R. cemetery of Miami, under the direction of the Goodson funeral home in Picher. Pallbearers chosen were Raymond Lawrence, Marvin Becker, Joe Baker, Charley Hunt, O. H. Widick and Allen Zimmerman.
