Funeral services for Claude E. Kelly, 52, who died Sunday afternoon at his home, 213 East 22nd Street in Baxter Springs Kansas, will be held in St. Joseph's Catholic church in Baxter Springs at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Frank Heyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Baxter Springs cemetery under direction of the Wene funeral home. Rosary will be said in the family home at 8 o'clock tonight. A native of the Tri-State district, Kelly was employed as a mining foreman for the Scott Mining Company until he retired because of ill health. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rose Kelly; a daughter, Sister Maurine Kelly of St. Joseph's convent, Damarr Kansas; three sons, Michael B. Kelly of the home, William O. Kelly of Wood River Oregon, and Claude E. Kelly, Jr. of Baxter Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie McClarey of Baxter Springs Rt 1, and Mrs. Pearl Putnam of Pomona California; a brother, Roy Kelly of Columbus Kansas, and five grandchildren.
