205 North Cedar, Commerce Oklahoma, died at 10:15 am Wednesday, Jan 1, 1997, at Baptist Regional Health Center after an illness. He was 96. Mr. Kelley was born Oct 1, 1900 in Blairsville Georgia, to Jack Kelley and Mary Brackett Kelley. He lived in the Commerce area since 1981, moving there from North Miami Oklahoma. Mr. Kelley was a superintendent for the Fenix Sisson Construction Company, Tulsa, and also superintendent of lead and zinc mining in Picher Oklahoma. He was a member of the North Miami Assembly of God Church where he was also a member of the men's quartet. He married Allie Chastain on Apr 1, 1917, at Blairsville. She preceded him in death on Nov 18, 1991. He was also preceded in death by a son, Norman Kelley, and a daughter, Leona Williams. Survivors include a son, Beuford Kelley, Commerce; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great- great-grandchildren. The service will be 2 pm today at the Paul Thomas funeral home chapel with pastor Bob Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn cemetery in Kansas, northwest of Treece Kansas. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
