of Commerce Oklahoma died at 9:09 a.m. Friday, Jan 14, 2000, at St. John s Regional Medical Center in Joplin Missouri after a brief illness. He was 73. Mr. Kelley was born on Sep 20, 1926, in Cleveland Georgia, to Howard Kelley and Allie Chastain Kelley. He had lived in Commerce since 1955, moving from Cardin Oklahoma. He worked for Eagle-Picher Mining Company, where he retired after 26 years. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Kelley was a member of the Faith Tabernacle of Commerce. He married Bertha Miller, Oct 26, 1945, in Long Beach California. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include three sons, Howard Kelley and his wife Lisa Kelley of Oklahoma City, Ronald Kelley and his wife Donna Kelley of Monitor Falls New York, B. Shawn Kelley of Gulf Port Mississippi; two daughters, Patsy Anderson and her husband Byron Anderson of Baxter Springs Kansas; Sandra Kelley Krieg of Baxter Springs; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean Kelley; a daughter, Mary Ellen Kelley; a grandson, Kendall Sharbutt; his parents; a brother, Norman Kelley; and a sister, Leona Lewin. The service is Monday, Jan 17, at 2 p.m. at the Paul Thomas funeral home in Picher. The Rev. Franklin Fitzgerald will officiate. Burial is in Greenlawn cemetery, northwest of Treece Kansas. Pallbearers are Jean White, Everett Harold, Bill Benson, Joe Walden, Tom Smith and Duke Spurgeon. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 to 5 at the Paul Thomas funeral home in Picher.
