died at the Miami Baptist hospital following a two-month illness. A retired miner, he had resided in Ottawa county Oklahoma, since 1923. He belonged to the Quapaw assembly of God church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rose Johnston, four sons, the Rev. Norman Johnston, Quapaw, the Rev. Ralph Johnston, Commerce, Bobby Johnston Baxter Springs Kansas and Lloyd Johnson, Hesperia California; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Sharp, Quapaw, and Mrs. Betty Hudson, Baxter Springs, a brother, Sherman Johnston, Vinita Oklahoma; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Johnston was an Army veteran of World War I.
