Aged 35, died in a rooming house at Picher Oklahoma last night while attempts were being made by George Gibson, deputy sheriff to save his life. Johnson worked in the mines about Picher until Tuesday when he quit work. His roommate, Otis Wells is being held for coroner's jury. A large quantity of cocaine and morphine, together with numerous hypodermic needles were found in the room, officers say when the deputy entered, after being called by Wells, who stated that he awoke and found his roommate beside him dead, Johnson's death is believed to have been caused by heart trouble. Johnson has a wife living in Oklahoma City who has been notified and will probably arrange his burial in that city. She will arrive in Miami this afternoon to take charge of the body.
