40 years old, who for nine years has been employed as ground man at the Consolidated Mine No. 11, formerly the La Salle Mine, and a pioneer resident of Picher Oklahoma, died at 5 o'clock this morning at his home, North Treece Street, following several months' illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Jarvis; three children, Louis Jarvis and Miss Leona Jarvis, at home, and Mrs. Gladys Turner of Seneca Missouri; four sisters, Mrs. L. Paul of Columbus Kansas, Mrs. Willa Gillam of Joplin, and Mrs. Eliza Mason and Mrs. Pearl Dunlap, of Picher; four brothers, Otis Jarvis of Commerce Oklahoma; Virgil Jarvis of Potosi Missouri, and Everett Jarvis and Wint Jarvis, of Picher. Funeral services will be held at the Baptist church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Wesley Post, assisted by the Rev. James Posey, will officiate. The body will lie in state at the Todd mortuary until Friday, when it will be taken to the home. Burial will be in Carterville cemetery.

Funeral services for Link Jarvis, 40 years old, who died Tuesday at his home on North Treece Street, will be conducted at the Union church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Wesley Post, assisted by the Rev. James Posey, will officiate and burial will be in the Carterville Missouri cemetery. Pallbearers will be C. E. Duncan, W. E. Buttram, R. W. Cunningham, C. B. Cronk, V. G. Winchester and William Whicker. The funeral will be under the direction of the Todd undertaking company.
