55 years old, a pioneer Picher Oklahoma resident, was found dead in bed at his home in the northwest part of town at 8:30 o'clock this morning. His death was attributed to apoplexy by Dr. V. V. Butler, who was called to make an investigation following discovery of the body. Jamison is believed to have been dead five hours when his body was found by a friend, a man named Wells, who went to the Jamison house to visit him. Jamison had been living alone for some time. Yesterday and last night, Jamison apparently was in good health. Several friends called on him last night, leaving about 10 o'clock. Jamison had resided in Picher sixteen years, coming here in the early days of mining development. He served on the city council shortly after the town was incorporated. For several years he was an agent for the Joplin Globe newspaper in Picher. Surviving are two sons, Roy Jamison of Tulsa and Buel Jamison, who is in the United States Navy in the Atlantic fleet, and two daughters. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Funeral services for William Jamison, 58 years old, a pioneer resident of Picher, and a former city councilman, who was found dead in his home in the northwest part of Picher Thursday morning, will be conducted at the First Baptist church at 9 o'clock Sunday morning. Members of the Masonic lodge will act as pallbearers. The Rev. Billie Bain will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery, at Miami.
