51 years old, residing at West Seventh Street, Picher Oklahoma, was killed Thursday afternoon when he reportedly stepped on a grounded electric wire near the American Mining Company about a mile southwest of Picher. His body was taken from the physician's office, where his death was set at approximately 2:15 o'clock. Hyms, a retired miner, had been a resident of Picher the last 30 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Dean Hyms, and a daughter, Anna Della Hyms, both of the home. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist church with the Rev. Gloyde Lukebart officiating. Burial was in the G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, under direction of the Goodson-Durnil funeral home. Pallbearers were Chester Stratton, W. F. Christian, Lonnie Pitts, Dutch Coach, Jack Stacey and Elmer Whited.
