60 years old, a mine operator who lived in Commerce many years, died at 3:20 Friday afternoon in St.. John's hospital at Joplin Missouri. Mr. Huntley is survived by his wife Mrs. Ella Huntley. The body was sent to Carthage Missouri, for burial. Funeral services will be held in Carthage Missouri at 2 Monday afternoon. Mr. Huntley had been actively engaged in the mining industry for many years and had scores of acquaintances throughout the district.

Funeral services for George Huntley who died at Joplin Saturday, were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at his old home, Carthage Missouri, interment being made in the Park cemetery. All of his old school mates who were living and able to be present attended the services in a body. The pallbearers included G. A. Rose, Fred Hodson, John Zane, Cornelius Platt, Ed Ervin and another whose name was not learned. Deceased was 60 years of age at the time of his death. Mr. Huntley had moved from Carthage to Commerce Oklahoma in 1916 and was among Ottawa county's prominent mining men an citizens. Many friends attended from Commerce and other cities from a distance.
