Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday at the Commerce Oklahoma First Christian church for H. Wayne Hufford, 32 years old, who died Thursday afternoon at his home on the Anna Beaver Mine lease, west of Picher Oklahoma. Death followed a long illness. He was foreman of the Anna Beaver Mine tailing mill. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Holden Hufford; one daughter Nanjean Hufford, his mother, Mrs. Pearl Hufford of Commerce; a sister, Audrey Dean Hufford of Commerce; a brother, Ernest Hufford of Fairbanks Alaska, and grandfather, H. P. Cassell of Commerce. The Rev. C. C. Cockrum and the Rev. J. Grover Scales will officiate at rites. Pallbearers will be Lloyd Lee, Earl Dean Malone, Willis Miers, Charles Cruzan, Fred Phelps and Jack Hemphill. Honorary pallbearers will be A. S. Malocsay, Robert Tuthill, Leonard Ellison, Ellis Heyworth, Robert Redhage and Earl Pottorff. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery at Joplin Missouri, under direction of the Mitchelson funeral home.
