67 years of age, born at Lexington Kentucky, and for twenty-six years a resident and pioneer miner in Webb City Missouri, died very suddenly from heart failure at his home on West Joplin Street at 7 o'clock on Sunday morning. He had not been in good health for some time past, but had been down town Saturday attending to several matters of business and returned home without feeling any bad effects from the exertion. About his usual hour of rising on Sunday morning he was seized with heart failure and died within a few minutes. He leaves a widow, formerly Mrs. Davis, two sons residing in Illinois, and two stepsons and a stepdaughter living in Webb City. The funeral took place from his late residence yesterday afternoon, with services by Rev. R. A. Farris, and interment was at Mount Hope cemetery.
