The Little Chief Mine, northeast of Picher Oklahoma in Whitebird addition, will be placed into operation Monday morning. A new blacksmith shop and compressor room has been erected by the Little Chief Mine Company. The company is composed of Frank Hudson of Quapaw Oklahoma, Elmer Craig and Everett Moreland of Picher and W. A. Mulvaney of Peoria Oklahoma. Moreland will be ground boss of the Little Chief. Mulvaney will continue as ground boss at the St. Louis Mine No. 10, which is operated by Frank Hudson and Jim Hudson. Frank Hudson is superintendent of the two operations. The dirt will be milled at the Eagle-Picher Central Mill.

Funeral services for Howard Boheler, 19 years old, former Quapaw Oklahoma youth who was killed accidentally at Fort Warren, Cheyenne Wyoming, Wednesday, will be conducted at 2 pm Monday from the Union church at Zincville Oklahoma. The body was to arrive in Miami at 3:45 am today. Frank Hudson, uncle of the victim, said St. Louis Mine No. 10 and the Little Chief Mine, which the former operates, will be closed Monday. The Rev. Joe Reynolds of Anderson Missouri will officiate at services. Pallbearers will be John Bailey, Eugene Bailey, Alva Hudson, John Hudson, Bill Wendle and Raymond Mullins. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, under direction of the Lane funeral home. Note: Lane funeral record states: Private Howard Boheler, born Aug 30, 1915, Oklahoma. Died Nov 25, 1936, age 21, in Wyoming of a ruptured kidney. Information from Soldiers' service record. Buried Nov 30, 1936 at G.A.R. cemetery at Miami Oklahoma.
