Baxter Springs Kansas. Funeral services for Walter Johnson Horn, 79 years old, former resident of Miami, who died suddenly at 5 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. A. Worley, at 245 North Willow avenue, were held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist church. The services were conducted by the Rev. G. T. Kelly, of Joplin Missouri...Burial was in Hill Crest cemetery. Mrs. Horn died a year and a half ago. Mr. and Mrs. Horn had lived in the Tri-State district for the last 43 years. They lived in Miami for 14 years and in Baxter Springs for 15 years. He was a member of the First Baptist church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. J. A. Worley, Mrs. John Williamson and Mrs. Audrey Schey of Baxter Springs and Mrs. Robert Carskadon of Canton Missouri, two sons, Harry C. Horn of New York City and W. J. Horn of Quincy Illinois; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Horeseman of Quincy Illinois; a half brother, E. A. Horn of Canton Missouri, a niece, Mrs. Floyd Leonard of Bixby Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
