a former Commerce Oklahoma hard rock lead and zinc miner, died Oct 12, 1946, age 40, on a Saturday in Tucson Arizona, where he had lived for the past five years. He was a former ground boss at a Eagle-Picher Company mines. The body will be shipped here for burial. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Pearl Hopper, Tucson; his mother, Mrs. Ruby Hopper, Picher Oklahoma; one brother, Lee Hopper, Picher; and three sisters, Mrs. Fern Riggs, Joplin Missouri, Mrs. Gladys Harrison Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Pauline Skaggs, Greeney Kentucky. Arrangements will be announced by Goodson-Durnil funeral home. Note: Hopper is listed in newspaper index as O. A. Hopper.

Funeral services for O. A. "Jack" Hopper, 40 years old, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Goodson-Durnil chapel. The Rev. Forrest Lewis of Baxter Springs Kansas, will officiate. Pallbearers will be Lloyd Wetherell, Roy Sillaway, Byron Hutchens, Clayton Hood, Bob Tuttle and Frank Cuddeback. Burial Oct 17, 1946 will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami.
