retired miner and a Picher Oklahoma resident for 37 years, died Tuesday evening at Miami Baptist hospital following an illness of only a few hours. He was 64 years old. A member of the Methodist church, Hood lived at 503 North Main Street. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Delores H. Speer, Ardmore Oklahoma, and one granddaughter. Funeral arrangements, as yet, are incomplete, will be under the direction of the Hunter mortuary.

Final rites for Thomas Ray Hood, 64 year old retired minister and longtime resident of Picher, will be conducted in the Hunter chapel at 2 pm, Friday. The Rev. R. J. Palmer will officiate. Pallbearers will be Gene Crockett, George Walker, Gerald Williams, Troy Graves, Ben Stanley and Woody Lane. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami. The body will lie in state at the chapel until the funeral hour. Hood died in Miami Baptist hospital Tuesday evening.
