Abstract Data

40 years old, Picher Oklahoma, a well known miner of the Tri-State district, died at 4:30 o'clock this morning at his home on South Connell avenue after a several months' illness. Mr. Holman was ground foreman at the Tom L. Mine, Chubb Mine and the Oko Mine for 10 years. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge at Picher, which will have charge of the funeral arrangements, which are incomplete awaiting the arrival of relatives. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora Holman, three children Lawrence Holman, Grover Holman, Jr. and Naydeen Holman; three sisters, Mrs. W. M. Howard of Holdenville Oklahoma; Mrs. Lilly Storer of Covington Kentucky; Mrs. Winnie Hardin of Picher; three brothers, Ed Holman of Midwest Kentucky; Arthur Holman of Battle Creek Michigan; and Clyde Holman of Inola Oklahoma. The funeral will be under the direction of the Green undertaking company.

Funeral services for Grover C. Holman, 40 years old, who died Monday morning at his home on South Connell avenue, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Union church. The Rev. Wesley Post will officiate and burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami. Members of the Odd Fellow lodge of Picher of which Mr. Holman was an active member, will have charge of the funeral. Pallbearers will be W. M. Crabtree, J. H. Klinefelter, Roy Clark, W. D. Wommack, E. Hilderbrand and J. H. Durnil. Burial will be under direction of the Green undertaking company.
