Four men were blown to atoms in an explosion of 2,000 pounds of powder in a gelatine cartridge packing house at the powder farm of the Hercules Powder Company, five miles southwest of Carthage Missouri, shortly before noon today. The dead: Albert White, Lakeside; Park Holdsby, Lakeside; James Richardson, foreman and Frank Wiams, Pleasant Valley.
