Mrs. Bessie Hinkle, the widow of Thomas J. Hinkle, 38 year old miner who died in Feb has entered a $32,800 damage suit against the Dines Mining Company of Picher. The first cause of action asks $22,800 for Hinkle's death, brought about, the petition alleges, by failure of the company to supply the part of the mine where Hinkle worked with proper airing equipment. The petition further states that Hinkle was employed as a machine helper and that he was required to work in dangerous air of carbon monoxide nature. He became ill early in September, 1933, and his condition grew steadily worse, the petition states. The remaining $10,000 is asked as reimbursement for expenditures during his long illness and the expenses following his death. Besides his wife, Hinkle is survived by two children, 12 and 10 years old. The mine where he worked is operated by J. P. Dines and was formerly known as the Vinegar Hill Mine holdings. It is located near Cardin Oklahoma.
