74 years old, a former lead and zinc mining operator and resident of Ottawa county Oklahoma for the last 35 years, died at the Miami Baptist hospital at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Prior to his illness, he had operated a service station at Quapaw Oklahoma, where he had lived for many years. He is survived by two sons, Frank Hill of Picher Oklahoma and Joe Hill of Hockerville Oklahoma; three daughters, Mrs. Oral Wright of Roseville California, Mrs. Floyd Starbuck of Kansas City Kansas, and Mrs. Stanley Coach of Quapaw; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild, three sisters and two brothers. Services will be announced by the Fisk funeral home of Miami.

Funeral services for G. W. 'Tex' Hill, 74 year old Quapaw service station operator, will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the First Christian church in Quapaw. The Rev. M. R. Dareing will officiate. Hill died Monday afternoon in Miami Baptist hospital after a lingering illness. A resident of Ottawa county for 35 years, he formerly was interested in lead and zinc mining operations. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, under direction of Fisk funeral home.
