The Ottawa Mining Company will start pulling dirt at the mill shaft at the Goodeagle Mine, a hard rock lead and zinc mine, southwest of Cardin Oklahoma, this week. Approximately 2,000 tons of dirt will be trucked to the Mary M. Mill each week from the mill land field shafts of this mine. The company recently completed a derrick and a 250 ton hopper at the field shaft and the mill shaft and derrick were repaired last week. A small crew of workmen have been carrying on a developing program in the ground for the last two months. A crew of 25 miners will begin work this week. Seventy-five men will be employed on the lease. The company will not start the mill on the lease before July. The company is composed of Johnny Hicks, Luther Sheldon and Lyndon Scott.
