50 years old, died at noon Saturday at the home of William Hassberg, 100 South Alta Street, in Picher Oklahoma. Herrin, a World War I veteran, had been ill for about three months. He was a stationary engineer for a district mining company and lived for many years at 718 South Emily Street, Picher. He was also a member of the IOOF and Rebekah lodges in Picher. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Stella Herrin; his father, George W. Herrin, Picher; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Von Wedell, Columbus Kansas, and Mrs. Gladys Ross, San Francisco California. Arrangements are incomplete. Goodson-Durnil funeral home is in charge.

- --Funeral services for George L. Herrin, 50 year old Picher man, will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the First Baptist church in Picher. The Rev. Gloyd Lukehart will officiate. Herrin died Saturday morning at the home of a friend, William Hassberg, 100 South Alta Street, in Picher. He was a World War I veteran. The Picher IOOF lodge and the American Legion post will have charge of the rites. Lodge members will act as pallbearers. Burial will be in the Zena Oklahoma cemetery. Goodson-Durnil is in charge.
