Word has been received of the death of E. B. Hatten, formerly of Miami, at Lebanon Missouri. Mr. Hatten, who was in the mining business, lived at the Savoy Hotel when the late J. J. Rubenstahl was the manager. He died Jan 18, 1928, unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon at his home in Lebanon. Mr. Hatten was mayor of Lebanon and one of the town's best known citizens. He was president of the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce and manager of the Magnetic Ice Plant and Bottling Works, and as a mayor of the aggressive type was active in every community undertaking. He was a native of Ohio.
