Abstract Data

The first number drawn in the national lottery Tuesday evening to affect an Ottawa county Oklahoma registrant was No. 441 fourth taken from the mixing device and it gives the No. 1 order number to Elmer Ernest Harmon, 44 year old Hockerville Oklahoma man. Harmon is an employee of the Harris Mining Company of Picher Oklahoma. While the County Draft board was completing its assignments of serial numbers for the 2,278 men who signed up in the third registration, the order numbers will have to wait until the national master list is received. That probably will come in about two weeks, O. F. Mason, board chairman, believes. Second number to coincide with the serial number of an Ottawa county man was 1817, that of William Henry Blalock, Miami Rt 3. J. Gerald Elrod of Fairland Oklahoma Rt 1 drew the third order number with 1103. Then came these men, in proper order as their numbers were drawn: Roy Michael Martin, Fairland, 1790; Frank Howard Streeter, Commerce Oklahoma, 1584; Johnny Virgil Fox, Commerce, 176; William Harvey Burnett, Commerce, 1577; Joe Cole Young, 114 South Ella Street, Picher Oklahoma, 1156; William Bythal
