76 years old, 206 East Sixth Street, Commerce Oklahoma, died at 1 o'clock Saturday in his home. He had been ill for some time. Mr. Hallock came to Picher Oklahoma from Lebanon Missouri in 1917, and had lived in Commerce for 26 years. He was a miner and grocery store operator on North Picher Street, Picher Oklahoma and Commerce until 1952 when he entered the real estate business. He retired in 1957. In 1951 he helped to organize the first Civil Air Patrol in Miami. He was a member of the First Methodist church in Commerce, past master of the Picher Masonic lodge, and past patron of Picher Eastern Star lodge. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Estal Hallock of the home, a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Webb, Commerce; a brother, Victor A. Hallock, Chelan Washington; and a grandson.

Funeral services for Hubert A. 'Hap' Hallock will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday in the Commerce Methodist church with the Rev. Leo Culver, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami, under the direction of the Jim Thomas funeral home, Commerce. Mr. Hallock, 76, retired businessman, died Saturday at his home, Commerce. Mayor Henry Webber has requested Commerce business firms and offices to close for the funeral. Pallbearers will be Harry Hurst, Marvin Lee, Claud Rogers, Charley Roberts, James Holderfield and Bill Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Amonette, Carl Williams, Niles Clark, Lloyd Lee, Bussie Corbus, Carl Parson, Jim Stackable, Arnold Speaker, Dr. Glenn Cosby and Walter McCracken.
