or W. A. Grundler - 56 year old arthritis victim, was taken to the Veterans' hospital in Muskogee Oklahoma last week for treatment of injuries received in a fall Tuesday night at the Tri-State Rooms, located on South Main Street, Picher Oklahoma. Formerly a ground boss at mines in the area for 26 years, the crippled man fell down a flight of stairs when a crutch he was using broke. X-rays at Picher hospital revealed his right shoulder was broken. A veteran of World War I Grunder was stricken with the crippling disease a year ago. He has lived at the Tri-State establishment since 1941. Grundler was taken to Muskogee in a Goodson funeral home ambulances.

Funeral services for Bill Grumler, 62 year old World War I veteran and retired mine foreman, will be conducted at the Methodist church in Galena Kansas, at 2 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Harold Dawson, Bill Hasseberg, George Willis, Orb Pollard, Earl Hand and Herbert George. Burial will be in the Galena Kansas cemetery under direction of the Poteet funeral home. Grumler died at the Veterans hospital in Muskogee at 11 p.m. Wednesday. He had been hospitalized for two weeks. A ground boss in the Picher area for 27 years before he retired in 1941, Grumler formerly was employed by the Bilharz Mining Company and the United Zinc Company. For the last 14 years, Grumley lived at 334? South Main Street in Picher. He was a charter member of the Elks lodge in Galena. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Bess Poor of Galena, and three brothers, Budge Grumler of Carthage Missouri, and two others living in California.

Final rites for William A. 'Bill' Grundler will be held at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon at the Galena, Methodist church. The service originally was set for 2 o'clock but was changed to avoid a conflict. Grundler, retired Picher mine foreman, died Wednesday night.
