Gregory, Dave

The strike situation was fairly quiet throughout the district this morning, but authorities were investigating the beating of Dave Gregory, North Century Oklahoma, resident. Several men, officers said, took Gregory to a point south of Lincolnville Oklahoma early Sunday night. Gregory was severely beaten and left in the road. A patrol car of the national guard drove to the vicinity and found Gregory. The injured man was turned over to county authorities, who were questioning him today in connection with the affair. Authorities did not divulge the information received from Gregory and it was not known whether he identified any of his assailants. Jack Long, president of the international miners' union at Picher, said Gregory was a member of the Picher Oklahoma local.
