95 year old former city clerk and municipal judge, died at the home of his son, A. A. Glenn, in Trinidad Colorado, at 3:30 a.m. today. Born in Illinois on Aug 30, 1858, Mr. Glenn moved to Miami more than 30 years ago and was connected with a lead and zinc mining company before he became city clerk. Residing at 326 H Street northwest, Miami, Mr. Glenn was city clerk and municipal judge from May 1933, until Jul 1946. He served through the administrations of the late Mayors W. W. Dobson and Dr. M. M. DeArman and of F. E. Millner, local merchant. He resigned in 1946 because of failing health. Mr. Glenn moved to Colorado about five years ago after his wife died in 1941. Reputed to be "one of the best read Masons in Oklahoma," Mr. Glenn was a member of all branches of the fraternal order, including St. Andrews council No. 11 of the Red Cross of Constantine [York rite] in Joplin Missouri. A 33rd degree Mason, Mr. Glenn was a member of Miami lodge A.F. & A.M. for more than 50 years. He was an expert student of history and was well versed in early day development of both Kansas and Oklahoma. Other survivors include four grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted in Wichita Kansas, Monday afternoon. Burial will be in a cemetery there.
