50 year old resident of Ottawa county Oklahoma for the last 30 years, was found dead in the bathroom of his home at 19 I Street northeast at 1:20 pm Saturday. County attorney Bob Reynolds and Sheriff James A. Allemann, investigating officers, said Gibson apparently died of a heart ailment. Mrs. Leona Gibson found her husband's body when she returned home from work. He did not complain of illness when she left home early Saturday, she said. A lead and zinc miner, Gibson had been suffering from a heart condition for several months and had not worked since February. Before moving to Miami in 1950, he had lived in Douthat Oklahoma for 26 years. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lester Norman of Bakersfield California, and Mrs. Effie Shannon of Los Angeles California; a brother, John Gibson of Houston Texas; two step-daughters, Mrs. Norman Keith of Miami, and Mrs. Dorothy Moore of Concord California, and five grandchildren. The body was received by the Thomas funeral home of Picher Oklahoma. Arrangements for services and burial are incomplete.

Final rites for Lee Shorty' Gibson, 50 year old miner who was found dead in his home at 19 "I" Street Northeast Saturday, will be conducted at the First Baptist church in Picher Oklahoma at 2 pm Thursday. The Rev. Henry Moudy will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. Russell Moudy. Active pallbearers will be Roy Parr, Sterling Smotherman, Jerry Norman, Walter Mathison, Leonard Brown and Walter Jones. Honorary pallbearers include David Thrasher, Paul Pace, Leo Heuett, Sam Hale, Clarence Brown and Houston Bunch. Burial will be in the Carterville Missouri cemetery under direction of the Thomas funeral home of Picher. The body will lie in state at the family home until the funeral hour.
