A farmer on Baxter Springs Kansas, Rt 1, for 21 years, Hiram Franklin George, 58 years old, died Tuesday morning at his home. Surviving are his wife, Bertha George; two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Hohler of Baxter Springs, and Miss Marjorie George of the home; three sons, Herman George of Baxter Springs, Rt 2; Loren George and Bobby George, Long View Washington. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 pm Sunday in the chapel of the Wene funeral home in Baxter Springs. The Rev. George Doubledee of Matoc Missouri will officiate. Interment will be in the Lowell Kansas cemetery. Mr. George also worked as a miner in the lead and zinc mines.
