Funeral services for Harvey Glenn George, who died May 1 in a hospital near Mount Harris, Colorado, will be held at the Christian church at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. L. A. Johnson, pastor, in charge. Burial will be in the city cemetery. Prior to his illness, Mr. George had been employed in a mine in Colorado. Born near Springfield Missouri, 59 years ago, he came to Cherokee county Kansas when he was 16 years old and had been a resident of the county virtually ever since. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Luly McElroy George of Columbus Kansas, four sons, Earl George of Burbank California, and Kenneth George, John George and Dale George, at home; seven daughters, Mary George, Ruth George, Dorothy George and Retha George, all of Kansas City; Mrs. Lucille Mulligan of Kansas City and Mrs. Richard Burrows of Columbus, and one granddaughter. Pallbearers will be Ralph McElroy and Floyd McElroy, Luke Robins, George Robins and Robert Robins and William Lucas.
