Geissing, Henry W.

Henry Geissing, safety engineer for the Commerce Mining and Royalty Company, is making a collection of hard-boiled hats which have saved the lives of company employees. The collection now consists of four hats, three of which are broken and the other which is punctured. In each instance, the workers were saved from serious injury and possibly from death by falling rock. The collection is kept on display at the company's personnel office. Each hat is labeled with the name of the miner thus saved and the name of the mine where he was working at the time.
