Funeral services for Jack F. Garrett, 29 year old rural Miamian who died after collapsing while playing baseball at Jay Oklahoma, Sunday, were incomplete today. The World War II navy veteran, whose home is located a mile southwest of Miami, was stricken at about 4 p.m He was pronounced dead by a doctor in Grove Oklahoma about a half-hour later. Death was attributed to a heart attack. An employee of the Eagle-Picher Company's Central Mill, near Cardin Oklahoma, Garrett is survived by his wife, Mrs. Geraldine Garrett, of the home; a stepson, Douglas Jones, also of the home; his mother, Mrs. Cleo Garrett of Miami; two brothers, Cleo Garrett and Marvin Garrett, both of Miami, and three sisters, Mrs. Marin Powell of Marion City California; Mrs. Lola Booth of Miami, and Mrs. Jim Williams of Pleasanton California. The body was received by the Cooper funeral home.
