...died following a brief illness. He was a retired superintendent with the Eagle- Picher Mining Company, having been employed by Eagle-Picher for 35 years. He was a Baptist, a member of the Quapaw Masonic Lodge, the Galena Kansas Elks lodge and since 1922, the Quapaw Odd-fellows lodge. Survived by one son, Wayne Garrett, Quapaw Oklahoma; one daughter, Mrs. Betty June Green, Folsom California; one brother, Hiram Garrett, Commerce; four sisters, Mrs. Norene Hale, Commerce, Mrs. Katherine Havens, Baxter Springs Kansas, Mrs. Trix Greenback, Riverside California, and Mrs. Lucille Whitecrow, Bellgarde California; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
