Frisbie, Ira Fletcher

of Commerce Oklahoma, injured Monday morning when his motor car was struck by a Northeast Oklahoma Railroad car at Cardin Oklahoma, died at 1:30 this morning at Miami Baptist hospital. His skull was fractured in the crash and he was hurt internally. Mr. Frisbie was a mining engineer, in the employ of the Commerce Mining and Royalty Company. He was on his way to work at Cardin at the time of the accident. He was driving east on First avenue, Cardin's main Street, and the inter-urban car was traveling south. The Scottish Rite service will be held for Mr. Frisbie at midnight tonight in the First Christian church. Funeral services will be held at the First Christian church at 2 tomorrow afternoon, the Rev. Rolls Grimm of Commerce officiating. Burial will be in the Miami cemetery under the direction of the Mitchelson undertaking company. His wife, Maggie Frisbie, three sons, Ira Frisbie, Bryan Frisbie and Lloyd Frisbie, and two daughters, Juanita Johnson and Vera Frisbie, all of the home, survive. He was 48 years old.

The Northeast Oklahoma Railroad was named defendant in a damage suit for $5,000, filed late Tuesday afternoon in the district court by Mrs. Maggie Frisbie of Commerce, widow of Fletcher Frisbie, who died from injuries received in a grade crossing accident at Cardin the morning of Dec 13.
