Cistern water polluted with typhus germs was fatal for William R. Frederick, 24 year old miner living north of Miami. He died at 4:15 o'clock this morning at Miami Baptist hospital. Frederick had been ill for more than a week. He had been employed at the Bird Dog Mine near Picher Oklahoma, for the last several months. The attending physician attributed infection to the use of impure water from the rural cistern at his home. Frederick had been married only two months and had lived in Ottawa county Oklahoma, all of his life. Survivors include wife, Mrs. Leona Frederick and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Earl Frederick, Rt 2, Miami. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in Lane chapel. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami.
