35 years old, died at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at his home in the northwest part of Picher Oklahoma. Death was due to influenza, following an illness of six days. Mr. Franklin had been a resident of Picher the last 15 years, during which time he was employed as a hard rock lead and zinc miner. Previous to coming here, he resided at Aurora Missouri. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Lillian Franklin; one step-daughter, Lois Hollis, at home; his mother, Mrs. Sarah Louise Franklin of Picher, two brothers, Oscar Franklin of Aurora and Lloyd Franklin of Picher; five sisters, Mrs. Georgia Thurman of Aurora, Mrs. Effie McWhirter of Riverside California, Mrs. Ida Crawford of Prescott Arizona, and Mrs. Alta Davis and Mrs. Ruby Jones, both of Picher. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending information from relatives. The body is at the parlors of the Todd undertaking company.
